Trick or Treat: The best things about a stay at Merchant House

There are no tricks here, only treats! As we get closer to winter and the nights draw in, we’ve put together our top treats you can expect if you pay us a visit…

Complimentary Homemade Cake

Chef Dave bakes every day at Merchant House, especially for our guests. Each day there is complimentary homemade cake and tea to enjoy in our lounge, what a way to start your holiday!

Toasty Log Burner

Our toasty log burner ensures you’ll be snug as a bug. Curl up on the sofa with a good book, watch the flames roar and enjoy some homemade cake (did we mention cake is on the house?)

Dogs stay for free

Dogs stay for free at Merchant House and we’re super dog friendly indeed! We have a dedicated doggy shower for washing pooches paws off, complete with doggy shampoo and fluffy towels. Relax with Fido next to the fire afterwards so he can dry off (we even have complimentary dog chews in our bar area)

Free Parking

You’ve landed on free parking! Park your car safely here and trot off into Truro to explore for a few hours. With Truro easily accessible by foot, a train station only a short drive, a bus stop right outside our front door and boats leaving from just down the hill, we really are perfectly located and you can reach anywhere in Cornwall!

Cracking Full English Breakfast

Book direct and you receive our cracking Full English breakfast! It truly is superb: plentiful, delicious and cooked to order by our Dave! After a full English, Merchant Style you’ll be set up for a day of exploring Cornwall, visiting the local markets, getting into the saddle and touring or simply kicking back with a good novel by the fire and enjoying some time to yourself: bliss.

There are no tricks at Merchant House this October, just a whole lot of treats. And the real treat is the price! With rooms starting at just £55, the only trick is the one you’ll think your eyes are playing when you look at your bill the next day, it’s a bargain!
