We’ve teamed up with Fal River to offer our Fun in Falmouth break! Enjoy a 3 night break with us this summer and enjoy free return tickets on the Enterprise to Falmouth or St Mawes. We’ve put together our guide of things to do once you reach the other side of the river:
Built by Henry VIII, these gorgeous castles are in the most picturesque of settings. Whether you opt for Falmouth with panoramic views from up high or St Mawes, literally on the water, you will be able to see why so many people get married here!
Obviously Truro is shopping central and the best place to enjoy a shopping spree but Falmouth and St Mawes offer a different type of shopping experience. Browse local boutiques, small gift shops and quaint tea rooms for a quirky Cornish day exploring the towns.
Obviously if you’re headed to Falmouth, you can’t miss the beach! And with so many to choose from you’re spoiled for choice. Whether the sandy stretches of Maenporth, family-friendly Gyllyngvase with a fantastic café on the front, surfing favourite, Swanpool or pebbled yet pretty Castle Beach, there’s something for everyone!
You can’t escape to Cornwall without enjoying a Cornish cream tea and Falmouth or St Mawes are perfect places for this decadent delight! We particularly like the old fashioned romance of De Wynn’s café or dog friendly Dolly’s tea room – the Enterprise Boat is dog friendly too so your best friend won’t be left on the riverbank!
Enjoy the gardens
There are some truly gorgeous gardens in Cornwall but we think Falmouth and St Mawes have some of the best! Our favourites include Lamorran in St Mawes, featured in the Nation’s Favourite Gardens on BBC2 and the multi-award winning Trebah, a short journey from Falmouth.
Whatever you choose to do, you’re bound to have a great time, even if you just go for the boat trip alone, it’s a lovely day out and perfect for pooches too! Find out more about our 3 night Fun in Falmouth break with complimentary tickets on the Enterprise Boats here.
