Visit the Beach

Well, when in Cornwall! Visiting the beach is a fun day out for all the family. Build sandcastles, flick through magazines, enjoy some beach volleyball or take a paddle in the sea, there’s even a choice of dog friendly beaches to visit so Fido can have fun too!

View the Gardens

Enjoy a tour of some local gardens. We can highly recommend Trelissick, Trewithen and Heligan but there are many others to try too! Each uniquely beautiful and with a variety of flora and fauna, there’s something for everyone such as private beaches, dog friendly or even a few gardens close together to make a day of it! Make sure you check out our Bespoke Garden Break if you’ve got gardens on the agenda!

Enjoy a round

We’re situated close to two fantastic golf courses, Killiow and Truro Golf Course with even more a short drive away. Why not pack your clubs and tee off during your visit to Truro? We’ll have complimentary tea and cake waiting for you when you return!

Explore the historic castles

Cornwall is home to some stunning castles including Tintagel, St Mawes and Pendennis. Whilst Tintagel is a bit of a drive, St Mawes and Pendennis are only a short car journey away and offer a sense of history and romance. Did you know Henry VIII built Pendennis Castle? For an added bonus, why not arrive by boat? Travelling by Enterprise Boat you’ll be able to see St Mawes Castle from the water. And don’t forget, guests staying with us 3 nights or more this Summer receive complimentary tickets on the Enterprise Boat – ahoy!

Learn to Stand-Up Paddle Board

For those action-seekers, head to Falmouth for a spot of stand up paddle boarding. SUP for short, this activity promises to be fun, challenging and great for the core – must not fall off, must not fall off!

Hire a Boat

Why not hire a boat and explore the water? Available to hire in Falmouth, you can spend either a day or half a day seeing sea life and riding the waves, there’s nothing better than the sea breeze on your face!

Walk the Coastal Path

We love to walk! Head out for a day on the many coastal paths, we can point you in the right direction and provide a packed lunch. If you’re interested we can recommend a walking guide or tour group. See some fantastic walks here

Hire some Bikes

Don’t fancy trekking everywhere by foot but still want to see our beautiful county? Why not take the weight off, literally! Hop onto two wheels and enjoy time seeing things double speed! Try the Camel Trail for a lovely leisurely cycle, why not enjoy lunch in Padstow before heading back?

Walk along the river

One of our favourite ways to spend a leisurely afternoon, perhaps meander along Malpas River and enjoy an ice cream at Boscawen Park in front of the glorious view! It’s the perfect excuse for a long dog walk (we usually let Murph have a bit of ice cream too!)

Relax in the garden with a good book

For a spot of calm in the bustling city we escape to Victoria Gardens. Just minutes from the shops in Truro, it’s a little oasis in the city. Pop in there with a good novel and enjoy a bottle of something chilled on a picnic bench or beneath a blossom tree whilst enjoying a page turner, that’s what holidays are all about!
