The team at Truro dog friendly hotel, Merchant House, are excited to get their hands dirty for charity in February. After recently installing a Dog Wash for their four legged guests, Merchant House has decided to use it to raise money for the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) on Monday 29th February with a charity dog wash!
Members from NAWT, Hayle, will be in attendance with some of their finest hounds, and all local four pawed best friends will be offered the chance to get into the Dog Wash for a clean before being dried off and invited inside to warm up with a Bonio biscuit by the log burner. Owners will be offered some of Chef Dave’s homemade cake and fresh tea and coffee.
Merchant House owner, Nicky Whittaker, said: ‘We’re really dog friendly here at Merchant House and we wanted to cheer up February with a good deed for man’s best friend. We thought it would be nice for the dogs to socialise and meet new people and raise some money for a really worthy charity. We’ve got the warm shower, doggy shampoo and fluffy towels at the ready and will have the log burner roaring in the lounge prepared for tea, cake and Bonio biscuits afterwards!’
If you’d like to have your dog washed in aid of charity this February, the event will take place on Monday 29th February at 12:00pm. Feel free to bring your hound along to meet other dogs and get clean and donate to the team!
