We venture out all over Cornwall with Murphy, but this month we wanted to tell you about a trip into our great little city of Truro. It all started when I picked the lead up off the table and Murphy realised he was in for an adventure. Keen, as always, Murphy and I headed down into town – his little feet pattering on the cold cobbles.
Our first job was to do some shopping for our next adventure into the Cornish countryside and so we stopped in to see our friends at Cotswold Outdoors. We spoke to store manager Joe who helped us pick out a new waterproof jacket for our travels. We ended up with a North Face Loreto Triclimate Jacket to last us a few years in all the different seasons!
Next up we headed out to Seasalt where we bought Murphy a new bandanna, and he looks rather fetching we must say.
After some window-shopping up and down the little lanes and lots of strokes from passers by for Murphy admiring his bandana, we decided to have a little lunch.
Murphy quite likes the atmosphere of the Old Ale House where there are always plenty of people willing to pet him, so we took a comfy seat there and watched the world go by while we waited on our food. Soon the scent of creamy roasted cauliflower macaroni cheese was wafting our way and Murphy’s tail wagged as I spooned him a little cheese sauce onto a Bonio biscuit.
After a nice relax and a few drinks, we started the short walk back to Merchant House. Truro can be really beautiful to explore with your best friend at your side.
