We get asked a lot about how to make Dave’s famous homemade cakes but the truth is, we can’t really give that secret away – otherwise why would guests come to stay with us? Apart from the comfy beds, fast WiFi, free parking, central location and delicious full English breakfast, but you know what we mean!
Everyone knows that Merchant House is a home from home and one thing that makes a place homely is cake and we serve it in abundance! So Dave agreed to give us his sponge recipe but not his fillings as they are top secret and guarded closely by Murphy!
